Institution conducts annual seminars/workshops to promote research activities of the staff members and to provide awareness regarding the modern trends and developments in technical field. The national convention COMPCON was conducted in 2008 June. Prof. Derek.P.Artherton from University of Sussex, U.K conducted a workshop on "Control Systems". In December 2009 MOWITS (Mobile Computing, Wireless Communication and Internet Technology),Dr. K.Giridhar and his colleagues from IIT Madras has taken a Workshop on "Emerging Trends in Mobile Computing, Wireless Communication and Internet Technology." Conventions of various topics of current relevance are also conducted regularly. SEGE - 10 a National Workshop and Seminar on ‘Sustainable Energy and Green Environment" was conducted from 4th to 6th, December, 2010. The Inaugural function of the National Workshop and Seminar was inagurated by Padmasree S. Ramakrishan, Director, LPSC who is an expert on Propulsion. The two day National Conference ‘ASPES12' intended to provide a platform for the dissemination of novel and fundamental advances in the field of Signal Processing and Embedded Systems commenced on 6th January. Dr Peter Fleming, Director, Sheffield University, United Kingdom announced commencement of the seminar and delivered the keynote address. Extensive workshops were convened by Dr. A.K.Sinha Professor, IISc Banglore and Dr.Sundararajan, Professor (Formerly), NTU Singapore .
