The Research and Development Wing

The Research and Development Wing in the department encourages the students to work on practical oriented projects and to mould them for industrial experience. The R & D wing selects the outstanding projects from the final year students and provides a fund from the college side as a part of encouragement. Recent funded projects include Paper-bag folding machine, Reverse rolling arrester, multipurpose ESCA ladder, Steer by wire systems with adaptive head lights, Track based stair climbing wheel chair, Automatic bar feeding mechanism for power hacksaw, Paddy harvesting and Collecting machine, Aqua silencer, vehicle for disabled person, projects at Hindustan Lifecare Limited and several others.

MEXTREYAZ

MEXTREYAZ is the association of the Mechanical Engineering department. Under this, various technical activities are organized every academic year which comprises of talks on technical subject for the students by inviting eminent persons from industries and research organizations such as ISRO, DRDO, CSIR etc. The association supports the students in undertaking activities on the recent advances in of technology with industries by arranging industrial visits to several units around the institution as well as in the country. The association also promotes the students to attend various conferences and to present research papers as part of their project works.

Add-on Courses

The department provides Add-on courses for students to impart knowledge about real time applications of various areas and software. The Mechanical engineering department provides such courses in the areas such as Nondestructive testing, Hypermesh® , Manufacturing and 3D printing, AutoCAD®, Inventor®.>/p>
